that works with your current programs. Some
web hosts even offer both, though this is not
common.

will also offer PHP support. Generally it is
preferable to go with a company that offers the
newest version of PHP are available. If you
plan on running PHP applications from a website
check to make sure that the features you need are
available on your business web host. Not all
web hosts enable all PHP features, and if your
application uses a specialized feature set of PHP
it may not be compatible with every web
host. This is another instance where it pays
to double-check before signing any final
contracts.
Lastly after picking a business
web host, speak with a customer service
representative to make sure that they are on the
ball. You are going to be paying these
people quite a bit of money every month, so it
really make sense to spend the extra five or 10
minutes making sure that they know what they're
doing. Ask about what kind of backups they
perform; do they back up to a different location,
how often do they back up, do they insure their
backups? You may also want to ask about
their uptime, after all customers can't reach your
website if your hosting provider is experiencing
downtime. In the industry most hosting
providers strive for 99.999% uptime with their
business packages.
Choosing the right business web
host will help your company compete in the online
marketplace. And in today's economy a
company will find it very hard to be successful
without an online presence. In fact very few
companies, no matter how small, do not have a
website of sorts that at least points customers
towards their retail locations. Doing a little bit
of research will ensure that you find the right
business web host for you. One that meets all of
your needs; both present, and
future.
